Shelley Henk is an RN, BSN, Whole Health Educator, Midlife Midwife, and creator of Artful Storywork™ — a creative and embodied process helping women move from disconnection into coherence through beauty, symbolism, embodiment, and sacred expression.

After nearly two decades in women’s health, helping over 1,000 women navigate birth, grief, healing, and wholeness, Shelley began recognizing a deeper pattern:
Many women had learned how to survive while quietly disconnecting from themselves in the process.
Disconnected from:
their body,
their creativity,
their peace,
their spirit,
and the woman beneath survival.
Shelley believes modern women are often emotionally overwhelmed, biologically depleted, creatively disconnected, and carrying years of unresolved stress within the nervous system — yet are rarely taught how deeply connected the body, story, spirit, and environment truly are.
Instead, women are often offered surface-level solutions that help them continue functioning while remaining disconnected from themselves.

A former portrait photographer, published painter, poet, and featured guest on PBS Medical Stories: Under Control, Shelley now guides women through The Finding Beautiful™ Pilgrimage — a creative inner journey home for women crossing the threshold of midlife.
Her work integrates whole health education, creativity, embodiment, spirituality, and sacred expression to help women reconnect to themselves and inhabit life more fully.
Shelley lives in Illinois and continues guiding women through beauty, coherence, creativity, and becoming.
