HEAL LESSON EIGHT: PAINT

You have come a long way since entering the River of Restoration.

You have witnessed what needed to be seen.

Acknowledged what was true.

Surrendered what no longer belonged to you.

Held your story with compassion.

Entered the waters of restoration.

And learned to dwell in the presence of God.

Now you arrive at the final invitation.

Create.

Not to impress.

Not to perform.

Not to make something perfect.

But to make something beautiful.

Throughout history, God has been taking what was broken and bringing forth something new.

Ashes into beauty.

Mourning into dancing.

Death into life.

This lesson is an invitation to participate in that sacred work.

Take what has been revealed along the river.

Take what has been restored.

Take what has been redeemed.

And give it form through color, shape, texture, and expression.

This is not about painting what happened.

It is about painting what is becoming.

The pain is part of your story.

But it is not the whole story.

As you create, allow yourself to imagine beauty emerging where wounds once lived.

Allow yourself to imagine hope taking shape.

Allow yourself to imagine restoration becoming visible.

For there are some transformations that words alone cannot hold.

When you are ready, begin the lesson.

Congratulations,

You have reached the end of the River of Restoration.

Pause here.

Take a breath.

Look back at the waters you have crossed.

You have done brave work.

You witnessed what needed to be seen.

You acknowledged what was true.

You surrendered burdens you were never meant to carry alone.

You learned to hold your story with compassion.

You entered the waters of restoration.

You dwelled in the presence of God.

And you transformed pain into beauty.

This is no small thing.

Many people spend a lifetime avoiding the journey you just completed.

But you said yes.

Yes to honesty.

Yes to healing.

Yes to restoration.

Yes to becoming.

Take a moment to celebrate how far you have come.

Celebrate the courage it took to stay.

Celebrate the tears.

Celebrate the breakthroughs.

Celebrate the beauty that emerged from places that once felt broken.

The painting before you is more than a piece of art.

It is evidence.

Evidence that pain is not the end of the story.

Evidence that restoration is possible.

Evidence that beauty can emerge from even the deepest wounds.

As you stand on the far shore of the river, know this:

The woman who entered these waters is not the same woman leaving them.

You have been changed.

You have been restored.

You have been prepared.

Lift your eyes.

A new landscape awaits.

In the distance, you can see the mountain rising.

The Summit of Dreams.

For once the heart begins to heal, it becomes capable of imagining again.

Capable of hoping again.

Capable of dreaming again.

When you are ready, gather your supplies, your journal, your paintings, and your courage.

The river is behind you.

The mountain is ahead.

And your next adventure is about to begin in DREAM.
