What to Expect
Each session begins with conversation.
Together we explore the story, season, transition, or threshold that has brought you here.
We create a sacred container through prayer, presence, and intention.
From there, you are invited to rest comfortably while I listen, reflect, paint, and respond to what emerges.
The process is intuitive, contemplative, and deeply personal.
Layers of color, image, movement, and meaning unfold throughout the experience.
You will not see the painting as it is being created.
Only at the end.
Many people describe this moment as surprisingly emotional.

Meet Shelley
Shelley Henk is an artist, storyteller, nurse, and creator of Artful Storywork™.
For more than twenty-five years, she has accompanied people through life's thresholds—grief and healing, loss and renewal, endings and new beginnings.
Rooted in the contemplative Christian tradition, her work is grounded in a simple belief:
Something changes when a story is witnessed with compassion.
