SYMPTOMS & STORIES™
Behind every symptom is a story.
Behind every story is the possibility of healing.
For more than twenty years, I cared for people through some of life's most sacred and vulnerable moments.
Birth.
Illness.
Healing.
Grief.
Loss.
Again and again, I noticed something:
People were carrying more than symptoms.
They were carrying stories.
Stories about who they were.
Stories about their worth.
Stories about what was possible.
Stories about God.
Stories about what they had to do to be loved.
Stories about whether they were enough.
Over time, I began to see that many symptoms were not simply problems to solve.
They were invitations.
Invitations to pay attention.
Invitations to listen.
Invitations to heal.
Invitations to remember.
This observation became the foundation of my Symptoms & Stories™ approach.
What Is Symptoms & Stories™?
Symptoms & Stories™ is the proprietary framework I use to help women connect the dots between what they are experiencing and the stories shaping their lives.
Rather than asking:
What's wrong with me?
We become curious enough to ask:
What is this trying to show me?
Together, we explore the relationship between the body, the story, and the soul.
Because symptoms rarely exist in isolation.
They are often connected to the way we have learned to survive, cope, adapt, protect ourselves, and make meaning of our experiences.
The goal is not to blame.
The goal is to understand.
Because understanding creates awareness.
Awareness creates choice.
And choice creates change.
The Symptom
Sometimes the body speaks first.
Fatigue.
Burnout.
Anxiety.
Brain fog.
Chronic stress.
People-pleasing.
Creative disconnection.
Feeling stuck.
Loss of purpose.
Spiritual dryness.
The symptom may be physical.
Emotional.
Relational.
Creative.
Or spiritual.
The symptom is not always the problem.
Sometimes it is the invitation.
The Story
Beneath many symptoms is a story.
A story of grief.
A story of striving.
A story of disappointment.
A story of loss.
A story of abandonment.
A story of fear.
A story of survival.
Many of these stories were formed long ago.
Many were never consciously chosen.
Yet they continue to shape how we see ourselves, others, God, and what is possible.
The story deserves to be witnessed.
Not judged.
Not fixed.
Witnessed.
Because what is witnessed can begin to heal.
The Soul
Beneath the symptom.
Beneath the story.
There is something deeper.
The soul remembers.
It remembers who you are.
It remembers what is true.
It remembers the person God created you to be before fear, striving, shame, trauma, disappointment, and survival became the loudest voices in the room.
Healing is not becoming someone new.
Healing is remembering who you are.
The Journey
This work is not about self-improvement.
It is about wholeness.
It is about moving from survival to wholeness.
From fragmentation to integration.
From self-abandonment to self-trust.
From wandering to belonging.
From Pilgrim to Creator.
At Whole Soul Studio™, this journey unfolds through the Four Elements of Wholeness™:
FEEL
Return to the body.
HEAL
Redeem the story.
DREAM
Recover vision.
CREATE
Live from wholeness.
What I Believe
The body speaks.
The story longs to be witnessed.
The soul remembers.
Beauty helps us remember.
Behind every symptom is a story.
Behind every story is the possibility of healing.
And healing is not becoming someone new.
Healing is remembering who you are.
